Navgrah Pooja

Navagraha Pooja is a ritual performed to seek the blessings and appease the nine celestial planets (Navagrahas) in Hindu astrology. The nine planets include the Sun (Surya), Moon (Chandra), Mars (Mangal), Mercury (Budha), Jupiter (Guru), Venus (Shukra), Saturn (Shani), Rahu (the North Node of the Moon), and Ketu (the South Node of the Moon). Each planet is believed to influence different aspects of life, and performing Navagraha Pooja is believed to mitigate the malefic effects of these planets and bring positive energy and blessings.

Begin by invoking the presence of the Navagrahas by chanting the Navagraha mantra or a prayer dedicated to them. Seek their blessings, guidance, and protection.

Perform separate poojas for each planet. Offer prayers, flowers, incense, and light a lamp in front of each planet's idol or picture. You can chant the specific mantras associated with each planet or recite their respective names.

If you have experience and knowledge of performing homa (fire ritual), you can perform the Navagraha Homa. Offer samagri (sacred ingredients) into the fire while chanting the Navagraha mantras.

It is important to note that Navagraha Pooja should be performed with respect, devotion, and understanding. The specific rituals, mantras, and procedures may vary based on regional customs and personal preferences. It is recommended to consult with a priest or refer to reliable sources for detailed instructions and guidance.
